What is European Maritime Day?
European Maritime Day (EMD) is the annual meeting point for Europe's maritime community. Established by the European Commission in 2008, it brings together stakeholders to discuss the sustainable development of Europe's seas and oceans.
The 2026 edition will be hosted by Cyprus during its EU Council Presidency, marking a historic moment for the island's maritime sector. The conference will focus on the Blue Economy, green shipping, and maritime innovation.
